Stop Motion animator and Illustrator, Simon Allen, has explored many disciplines from live shadow puppetry and jam comics to miniature fabrication and sound design. As the sole animator of his studio Turrim, Allen has freelanced in video, illustration and motion graphics. Under the Turrim name, Allen also completed his short film, Mother's Peak, which screened at the Boston Underground Film Festival and the Souvenir Museum in Montreuil, France. During the year and a half period of production on this animated short, the film's online presence garnered attention from galleries like the R Gallery and the Projects Room where miniatures and stills from the film were displayed. Allen has been published and interviewed by the Daily Mini and Vice: The Creators Project. Allen graduated with a BFA in animation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
